Alice Ballone

Alice Ballone
Alice graduated in Biotechnology at the University of Teramo – Italy in October 2014. During her bachelor’s thesis, she focused on the studies of the affinity of FAAH (Fatty acid amide hydrolase) with membranes at different composition through biochemical techniques. In July 2016, she got her Master degree in “Bioinformatics for Health Science” at Pompeu Fabra University – Barcelona, Spain. In her master thesis she continued the investigation on FAAH by means of molecular dynamics approach.
With her eclectic background, since September 2016, Alice has become a member of the TASPPI PhD at the Eindhoven University of technology to characterize the stabilization of 14-3-3 interactions.

Project topic: Chemical Biology

Alice’s project is focused on the small molecule stabilization of 14-3-3 interaction. In particular, her studies are focused on the analysis and the characterization of 14-3-3 binding to Gab2, SOS1 and c-Jun proteins.
